Voter newsletter 'goes green'
Friday, Sep. 4, 2009
After the current issue of the League's Voter, available now, the newsletter will only be available online or in print copies offered to members with limited or no Internet access.
The decision to no longer print the newsletter, published 10 times a year, was made in part to conserve financial resources but was also based on a growing trend to conserve natural resources. An electronic newsletter saves paper and ink, as well as the cost of mailing.
The matter was approved by members at the annual meeting as part of the 2009-2010 budget.
Members will be notified by e-mail each month when the Voter is available. Each issue is posted in the Voter archive section of this website. Those who cannot access e-mail or the Internet are encouraged to contact the League office to request a paper copy of the newsletter. A black-and-white version will be printed from the office computer and mailed to those members who request it.
Members are also encouraged to contact the League office when their e-mail address changes.
