Columbus Dispatch: Voter registration gets boost at public-assistance offices

According to an article in today's Columbus Dispatch, more than 100,000 low-income Ohio residents have applied to register to vote at public-assistance offices in the months after a federal court settlement on the issue.

The agreement filed in November in U.S. District Court in Cleveland settled a lawsuit that said low-income people in Ohio should be given the chance to register when applying for assistance, as required by the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.
