The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus Educational Fund has completed the Voter Information Bulletin for the 2008 General Election. Whether you vote early, absentee, or at the polls on Nov. 4, the VIB will help you make informed decisions about the candidates in national, state, and local elections as well as the issues that will appear on the ballot.

The VIB will be distributed to all Columbus Dispatch subscribers on Sunday, Oct. 26 and will be available at no cost in public libraries throughout Franklin County in October.

The League of Women Voters prepared this material. Candidates were surveyed and their responses printed exactly as received. All responses were given a word limit; once the response exceeded the word limit, the remainder of the response was deleted. In presenting this material, the League of Women Voters neither endorses nor rejects the views of any candidate quoted. We do not and cannot assume responsibility for the contents of any candidate‚Äôs reply or motive. Locally, only candidates certified for the ballot by the Franklin County Board of Elections, running in contested races, were surveyed and included. A list of all candidates who will appear on the ballot, including third-party and write-in candidates, is available from the Franklin County Board of Elections. For the presidential guide, the League of Women Voters used specific criteria to determine which candidates would be included.
